Growing Old Together

The relationship between man and dog is getting more and more intense and interesting. Side by side dog and man pioneered in space exploration (as a gesture of recognition NASA developed a fully equipped dog spacesuit) and back on earth the dog soothes our peace of mind. He is a sign that the ultimate uncertainty can be tamed as well: the freakishness of nature. The relationship between dog and man is crystal clear. Dog is completely dependent of and unconditionally faithful to his partner.

The dog has evolved from a family friend to a fully fledged family member. Dog's 'humanization' shows in a growing number of services and products. Nature's imperfections can be corrected through plastic surgery, chemotherapy and orthopedic appliances. Dog has its own life insurance policy, wheelchair, glasses and cosmetics.

My contribution is a walking frame that enables a dog and its owner to grow old together.
